With approximately 2,900 employees, JBS Food Canada ULC (-JBS Canada-) is one of Canada's largest beef processors. Consisting of four locations-the main processing facility located in Brooks, Alberta, where approximately 4,200 head of cattle are harvested and processed daily; the Head Office and a case ready plant, both based in Calgary, Alberta; and JBS Ontario, a case ready plant located in Belleville, Ontario. The JBS Canada facility in Brooks has the capacity to produce products ranging from boxed beef primals, ground beef, beef trimmings, beef by-products and hides which are shipped across Canada and worldwide. At the multi-protein Mountain Creek Farms case-ready facility in Calgary, JBS Canada produces value-added products including marinated, portion sized, multi-pack options, kebabs and much more. JBS Ontario in Belleville produces fresh meat and seafood products for leading retailers in Canada.

The Continuous Improvement Business Analyst provides support to the JBS Ontario team in identifying the issues related to continuous improvement. This role will have the ability to actively influence the strategy and activity at JBS Ontario to create meaningful change and promote a culture of continuous improvement and business agility across plant production.
NOTE: This role will be located in BELLEVILLE, ON
In partnership with Senior Leadership, assist to define prioritized process improvement initiatives complete with actions plans, resource models, project milestones and success metrics.
Champion Lean Principles and practices across the organization fostering a deeper understanding and adoption of these core principles.
Work with Organizational Managers and key stakeholders to design and develop best practices and processes that utilize resources across various value streams.
Anticipate and plan for process integration initiatives that support the underlying business objectives. Support process change by integrating new processes with existing ones and assist to deploy these new improvements to the operations teams.
Analyze industry and business unit data to achieve efficiency metrics.
Support the development of policies, systems and procedures necessary to support cost reduction and system utilization goals (KPI-s).
Help to ensure reliability systems are developed to be as robust as safety, quality and environment systems
Create charts, graphs and presentations to communicate business process, waste and improvements for a process
Assists with developing and providing timely reports to all stakeholders
Develops comparative data from other JBS Business Units to target performance improvement opportunities in Canada
Must have a working knowledge of 5S, Continuous Flow Production and writing process control documentation.
A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science or related field is required
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, considered an asset
Exceptional written and verbal skills
Ability to understand and perform qualitative data analysis
Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills
Must be able to work with a high sense of urgency and have the ability to prioritize and accurately respond to deadlines
Must be a model for change and a champion of lean production principles
Ability to influence across departments and various levels of leadership
Strong background in problem solving, planning and organization
Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office applications including Power point and Excel (know how to use the functionality macros)
Ability to develop and implement applications in Qlikview and Business Object (SAP), considered an asset
Knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies required at a level to successfully continue to advance the culture of continuous improvement
Must have a valid driver-s license.
Must have valid status to work in Canada
