With approximately 3,300 employees, JBS Food Canada ULC (-JBS Canada-) is one of the largest employers in southern Alberta and one of Canada's largest beef processors. Consisting of three locations-the Head Office and a Case Ready plant, both based in Calgary, Alberta, as well as a processing facility in Brooks, Alberta, where approximately 4,200 head of cattle are harvested and processed daily. The JBS Canada Brooks facility has the capacity to produce products ranging from boxed beef primals, ground beef, beef trimmings, beef by-products and hides which are shipped across Canada and worldwide. At the multi-protein Mountain Creek Farms case-ready facility in Calgary, JBS Canada produces value-added products including marinated, portion sized, multi-pack options, kebabs and much more.
JBS Food Canada is seeking an experienced, diligent Store Administrative Clerk to join our team. This role will work alongside our production team to monitor and ensure the quality of our hand-made products is maintained at the highest degree.
NOTE: This role is located in Brooks, Alberta.
Confirm Purchase Orders sent to vendors, taking in consideration price negotiated, quantities and delivery days.
Create Purchase Requisitions for Contracted Services.
Guarantee restocking of Critical Parts with vendors, reducing long deliveries and avoiding overdue dates.
Review Accounts Payable and reconcile accounts with suppliers ensuring documents are processed in timely manner.
Answer inquiries and support team members in the plant.
Provide additional office/operational support where required.
Follow approved Standard Operating Procedures and ensure internal controls are strictly complied with;
Solve problems independently through full analysis of situations and employing best practices;
Communicate professionally with all levels of personnel via phone, e-mail and written correspondence;
Excellent language and communication skills;
Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures;
Computer proficiency, including effective working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook;
Experience working in SAP is required
High level of critical thinking, logical thinking and analysis and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons or facts;
Ability to work efficiently, independently or as part of a team;
Perform well under pressure and meet deadlines;
Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills;
Attention to detail in all areas of work;
Strong work ethic and high level of personal integrity; Confident, consistent, decisive and strong personality;
2+ years administrative support experience preferred;
High School Diploma or GED required.
Post-secondary education in a business related field considered an asset;
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
