We have implemented safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We are working to ensure social distancing within our facility. We have installed physical barriers throughout our facility such as plexi-glass or plastic barriers between team member work stations. Each day, temperature screens are performed for each employee and visitor before entering the facility. Face coverings are provided and required over the mouth and nose at all times when inside the facility, and enhanced cleaning and sanitation is regularly performed.
Must have knowledge of diesel engines.
Must have working knowledge of fuel system ,air brakes , hydraulic systems.
Must have adequate troubleshooting skills to resolve basic mechanical issues.
Position requires that the employee must provide his or her own tools
Must be willing to perform all other work as assigned by supervisor.
Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on the equipment. Equipment includes, but not limited to, Class 8 tractors, light duty trucks, forklifts, etc
Prepare work orders for any defects found during the PM inspection.
SAFETY: Wear PPE (gloves, and safety toed boots). Keep hands away from pinch points.
Ergonomic and Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand on concrete floors for prolonged periods. (Approx. 12 or more per day, but can vary)
Must be able to work in wet environment to include temperature extremes.
Must be able to perform consistent lifting duties (50lbs. approx.)
12 months mechanic experience or equivalent in vocational/technical education
Able to lift 50-60 lbs. frequently
Ability to work walking/standing for long periods of time
Ability to work without close supervision
CDL Preferred but not required
Vocational School preferred
