JBS USA PLANT SALES MANAGER in Cold Spring, Minnesota

POSITION SUMMARY: Manages sales program of area or establishment. Responsible for optimal sales mix, freight utilization, order fill rate, selling of surplus and other duties as assigned .

We have installed physical barriers throughout our facility such as plexi-glass or plastic barriers between team member work stations. Each day, temperature screens are performed for each employee and visitor before entering the facility. Face coverings are provided and required over the mouth and nose at all times when inside the facility, and enhanced cleaning and sanitation is regularly performed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides day-to-day supervision of activities including manpower planning, scheduling, and motivation.

  • Directs the flow of information for sale activities and transactions (leads, billings, orders, contracts) and evaluates data to ensure district/area goals are met.

  • Ensures sales objectives are met within company strategies. Maintains coordination with integral company functions.

  • Sells any excess or commodity products at optimal price and mix to maximize the profitability of the plant.

  • Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates and develops sales campaigns.

  • Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and to assist dealers in promoting sales.

  • Recommends product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line.

  • Acts as liaison between sales and other departments.

  • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume and potential sales.

  • Meets with key clients, maintaining relationships, negotiations, and in closing deals.

  • Ability to travel occasionally

  • Will require availability outside of normal business hours.

  • Other duties as required by management and supervisor.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

  • Minimum 7 year directly related experience is required.

  • Advanced Analytical skills are required

  • Skilled in Project Management

  • Must be able to communicate effectively; orally and in writing.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SAP software are required

  • Considerable knowledge of supervisory management practices and principles

  • Considerable supervisory skill
