JBS USA REFRIGERATION - DAYS in Cold Spring, Minnesota
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned
Installs new equipment, repairs and modifies existing refrigeration/HVAC and boiler equipment.
Performs necessary preventative maintenance on al equipment up to and including rebuilding compressors and boilers as needed and records necessary information.
Assists in the investigation in areas of cost reduction method improvement, quality improvement, yield control and provides suggestions.
Trains other maintenance mechanics in ammonia refrigeration/HVAC/Boiler operations.
Possess the ability and willingness to be state licensed, should this be mandated
Assists other maintenance mechanics in their duties when time permits
Ability to work with limited supervision and provides feedback to Supervisors on maintenance concerns
On Call weekends is required as well as the flexibility to work various shifts

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
Two years in commercial refrigeration environment/boiler operation and or accredited education preferred
Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English
Demonstrated ability to perform basic math skills including: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and percentage calculations
Ability to pass a Prove It test
Working knowledge of NH3 refrigeration principles and understanding of plant refrigeration systems, electric and mechanical procedures
Ability to read and understand schematics
Ability to arc and gas weld (overhead and bench)
Mechanical ability to analyze production machinery and their function and repair
Willing to work weekends and various shifts
Ability to work with minimal supervision
