JBS Live Pork is hiring a Human Resources Manager to work from the Dalhart, TX Corporate Office . This position will supervise an Employment Manager and work with multiple local operations as well as perform data entry and other HR administrative functions.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Supports recruiting efforts by reviewing job descriptions, posting and maintaining active requisitions, partnering with hiring managers to review resumes, conducting phone screens, and scheduling interviews

  • Enters all management employee’s data and updates into the HRIS system (SAP)

  • Oversees filing system of all employment records

  • Oversee recruiting needs including all Foreign Worker programs

  • Design, oversee, and implement employee retention strategies

  • Participates in new hire orientation sessions as needed

  • Provide customer service to employees in the business by answering common questions and directing or escalating questions and concerns as needed

  • Handle employee relations issues and escalate to HR Director or General Manager if necessary

  • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and brings them to resolution

  • Performing training and presentations to mixed audiences

  • Facilitate, oversee, and help develop training materials and performance management programs

  • Responsible for HR Dashboarding and reporting requirements

  • Responsible for local HR efforts on annual employee engagement survey

  • Responsible for local HR compliance efforts, including but not limited to FMLA, ADA and LOA processing

  • Oversee and participate in annual benefit open enrollment

  • Oversee, implement process, and manage annual HR Audit

  • Monitors and responds to unemployment claims, attends hearings as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline and three years of previous HR experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. BA in HR or related desired

  • Regular local travel required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish – strongly preferred

  • Local to the Dalhart regional area

  • Prior experience with applicant tracking system, HR reporting/dashboarding, and Agriculture – particularly animal raising facilites

  • Prior experience with SAP or other HRIS platform system
