Head of Operations – Wild Fork Foods

The Head of Operations will report to the Head of Product, Production, and Expansion for Wild Fork™ Foods and oversee two production facilities, one in Riverside, CA and the other in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, as well as the construction of a third facility in Lenoir, NC.

Wild Fork™ Foods is headquartered in Miami, FL. The Head of Operations’ location is flexible and may be Miami or adjacent to current or planned Wild Fork™ operations.

Responsibilities:

In coordination with the Wild Fork™ senior team, the Head of Operations will:

  • Establish and support the safety culture – SAFETY IS FIRST

  • Set overarching business strategy

  • Develop production, food safety, quality assurance, and product management key performance indicators (“KPI’s”) consistent with the agreed business strategy

  • Lead plant managers in achievement of production KPI’s

  • Oversee raw material procurement

  • Oversee planning/scheduling

  • Oversee food safety and quality assurance at production facilities and at fulfillment centers

  • Oversee product management at production facilities

  • Oversee technical meat science initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Minimum ten (10) to fifteen years’ food production management experience

  • Four (4) year college degree preferred

  • Experience in protein further processing (case ready or ground beef) strongly preferred

  • Proven experience managing and motivating others for maximum performance

  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) strongly preferred

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; and

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel
