Claims/Deductions Manager
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Claims Manager to join our JBS Prepared Foods team. This position is located fully onsite in Greeley, Colorado.
Responsibilities:
Create and achieve KPI goals for claims and deductions team.
Report and analyze claim data in order to reduce claims.
Process and close claims and deductions.
Analyze past due claim rebills and work with appropriate parties for resolution.
Submit to JBS AP bills in need of payment as a result of claims.
Maintain the claims annual report and make recommendations for improvement.
Provide training for sales team or plant team on claim/deductions procedures.
Facilitate daily claims meeting coordinating all plants.
Travel to perform claims audits at plant locations and facilitate claim training.
Update claim policy for carriers and customers and ensure the policies are sent to the appropriate parties every year.
Continue to design specific claim needs through implementation of new platforms.
Follow all Standard Operation Procedures in determining the liability of claims.
Review legal documentation and determine if the parties involved have provided the required information to process a claim. Aide in any litigation of claims.
Update and maintain approval levels for all claims.
Enter claims to be processed, work in Excel, Order Management, and several other programs.
Know the plant process, accounts receivable process, accounts payable process, and many other functions of the team in order to mitigate losses quickly.
Keep detailed records and accounts of all claims, deductions and DSO.
Manage DSO and work with team members and customers to reduce.
Understand cash application processes in order to assist customer accounts.
Communicate the JBS policy to appropriate parties, including USDA, outside adjusters, sales, customer service, carriers, insurance agencies, attorneys etc.
Resolve issues and respond to communications quickly.
Present data and recommendations to executive team.
Sees all projects through to completion.
Create specialized reporting and projects as requested.
Work with IT in regard to program development and functionality.
Review carrier documentation and ensure fulfillment of contractual requirements.

Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Accounting, Finance, or Business.
Excellent phone, computer, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Motivated and tenacious team player.
Extremely organized.
Self-driven to learn and adapt quickly.
As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.
The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits :
Benefits : Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
Paid Time Off : sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
Base salary range of $65,000-$75,000; and
Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
