CPG COMMERCIAL FINANCE MANAGER
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a CPG Commercial Finance Manager interested in a SWEET career as part of our Finance team at Pilgrim’s Pride – Prepared Foods.
The ideal candidate in this role will provide financial guidance and decision-making support to P&L owners to achieve profitable growth. This manager will l ead and collaborate cross-functional ly with the Sales, Operations, Marketing and R&D departments to continue drive effective growth, by given insightful recommendations for P&L enhancement, and efficient/optimized resource utilization. The Mgr. will assist in the development of trade and retail media programs, analyzing working trade/non-trade expenses, P&L variances and provide transparency to all levels, also will be responsible for providing oversight of the budget v. plan v. actual spend.
Responsibilities:
Str ong collaboration: P artnership with P&L owners by actively participating in the development and implementation of business solutions. Foster cross-functional collaboration with all departments to identify and leverage opportunities for efficiency and growth .
Provide comprehensive support: Offer guidance and support to customer portfolios, assisting them in understanding and managing variances in costs and expenses. This will help them make informed decisions and optimize their financial performance.
Foster effective communication: Facilitate solution-driven discussions with Sales, brokers, and A/R teams to address topics such as deductions and trade spend. Ensure that appropriate focus is given to these areas and follow-up actions are taken to resolve any issues.
Enhance sales and trade estimates: Collaborate with customer teams to improve the accuracy of their periodic sales and trade estimates. Utilize insightful analysis to provide actionable recommendations for enhancing accuracy and driving overall sales growth.
Provide financial insights: Develop comprehensive analyses for revenue and profit variances related to volume, price, and assortment (Mix) . This will enable you to identify and understand the factors influencing profitability and drive profitable P&L growth .
Identify investment opportunities: Collaborate with Sales Leadership to identify customer investment opportunities and efficiencies. Provide insights and analysis on customers, categories, channels, and brands to maximize margins and drive revenue growth.
Support forecasting accuracy: Analyze and support ongoing adjustments made to sales and spend forecasts. This will help ensure that forecasts are accurate and aligned with business objectives, enabling effective decision-making.
Ensure effective financial management: Take responsibility for the financial business management of the category through thorough P&L analysis and key issue identification. Accountable for budgeting marketing spend and ensuring proper reserve control and adherence to the budget.
Identify business opportunities: Monitor spend patterns in comparison to historical norms, forecasted plans, and the competitive landscape. Identify and recommend business opportunities based on these insights, enabling proactive decision-making.
Act as a people leader: Even though you have no direct reports, strive to be a leader by setting an example, fostering collaboration, and supporting the development of others. Share your knowledge and expertise to contribute to the overall success of the team .

Qualifications:
3 + years of CPG related business experience
4-year bachelor’s degree
Strong Microsoft Office skills: Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, OneNote, Word (ranked in priority)
Professional level presentation skills to a various level of organizational leaders
CPG experience in food manufacturing companies
Advanced Microsoft Office skills; VBA, macro-enabled workbooks, Power BI/ Qlik Sense and Python .
Trade Promotion Management experience
CPG business acumen preferable in food manufacturing.
Communication skills with internal and external personnel

As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations . Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.
The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits :
Benefits : Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
Paid Time Off : sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
401(k) : company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
Base salary range of $95,000-$120,000 ; and
Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
