Direct Account Management Development, to include management of the outside retail pork sales team with the primary goal of increasing market share with our designed key customer accounts, and to develop new business with targeted customers. Develop and further maximize company growth and profitability through strategic programs and collaboration with other departments including inside sales, operations, product management, R&D, marketing, and other related teams within the business.


  • Leads sales team in executing sales strategies and priorities of the pork business unit

  • Responsible for account development and client relationships

  • Fosters meaningful relationships with key accounts at multiple levels within the customers’ organization

  • Maximize growth with strategic accounts and new accounts

  • Formulate and recommend plans, policies, goals and objectives in conjunction with senior management increasing market share, growth, and profitability

  • Develops and fosters a team environment for all team members and other internal sales and marketing departments

  • Ability to utilize consumer insights and sales trends to drive sales

  • Capable of increasing branded sales

  • Expand distribution of value-added products

  • Ability to create and conduct formal presentations

  • Collaboration with Innovation Team, bringing ideas and solutions to the group

  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with peer group and other business units

  • Other duties as assigned


  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or the equivalent and minimum of 15 years’ business experience is required

  • 15+ years retail industry experience preferred

  • Previous management experience and ability to lead successful team

  • Ability to develop a short and/or long term profitable sales plan with desirable mix

  • Ability to identify retail trends and new product opportunities

  • Superb verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent phone and strong presentation skills

  • Effective problem solving and decision making

  • 40+ hours per week in an office environment

  • Estimated 50-60% travel

  • Ability to travel is a must

  • MS Office Suite application a must

  • Web Ex, MS Teams and virtual/remote platform systems a must

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits :

  • Benefits : Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;

  • Paid Time Off : sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;

  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;

  • Base salary range of $130,000 - $170,000 and

  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
