  • Responsible for the production of high quality products that meet specifications and expectations of the customer and satisfy USDA regulations.

  • Assure employees are working in a safe environment.

  • Maintain a consistent effort to operate a plant the most efficient way possible to decrease expenses and increase revenues.

  • Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as inspectors, machine setters, and fabricators.

  • Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records/reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.

  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.

  • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.

  • Inspect materials, products or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.

  • Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees or assign employees to experienced workers for training.

  • Ensure the quality and yields of products on the line.

  • Observe work and monitor gauges, dials and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.

  • Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints or grievances

  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders and company policies and procedures for workers.

  • Implement and maintain 5S to company standards.

  • Ultimately, possesses authority over all slaughter operations and bases decisions on what is most beneficial for the company.


  • 5+ years’ experience in the Beef/food industry required with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

  • Must have good leadership skills.

  • Must have the ability to interact with operational and processing management.

  • Must demonstrate critical thinking skills.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must have the ability to organize and prioritize work.

  • Knowledge of USDA regulations and OSHA requirements.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.

  • Excellent conflict resolution skills.

  • Computer knowledge required.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;

  • Paid Time off: sick leave, vacation and 6 company observed holidays;

  • 401(k): eligible after the 1st day of employment including company match which begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule

  • Base salary range of $84,524 - $115,710

  • This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan; the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
