Lead AP Clerk

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Lead AP Clerk to join our Fed Beef Trade division at our Corporate office in Greeley, CO.

Responsibilities:

• Perform analytical and attention to detail in reviewing vendor invoices; manipulate large set of data to validate and/or challenge vendor charges

• Perform periodic review and reconciliation of statement of account using PDF or Microsoft Excel skills

• Effectively communicate with vendors any billing issues noted from review of invoices and statement of account reconciliation

• Ability to multi-task and use time management skills in processing high volume invoices containing big data set of transactions

• Able to deal with and keep calm under pressure from vendors on payment follow-ups and resolving billing issues; maintain a good working relationship with vendors

• Manually process invoice payments (PO and non-PO) in SAP in a timely manner with complete accuracy

• Scan and file paid invoices in an organized and timely manner

• Consistently challenge existing procedures to enhance and/or improve the payment or invoicing processes

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred but not required.

• Experience with software applications such as PDF and MS Excel required.

• Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to follow defined procedures with consistency and accuracy

• Practical problem-solving ability, critical thinking skills, effective time management

• SAP experience is preferred but not required

• Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits :

• Benefits : Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;

• 401(k) : company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule; and

• Base salary range of $18-$24/hr ;
