JBS USA LOGISTICS AND OPERATIONS DIRECTOR in Greeley, Colorado
JBS Imports is looking for an experienced logistics professional to support current business and future growth.
• Direct all aspects of logistics and traffic functions of the business unit across USA and Canada operations: import documentation, inbound freight containers customs clearance and USDA/CFIA inspection, warehouse services, outbound freight scheduling, invoicing and delivery confirmation. • Negotiate and manage 3rd party warehouse contracts including rates, services, reporting metrics, customer service. • Negotiate and track all freight costs and relationships with carriers and freight brokers, dedicated and LTL. • Implement and manage systems to ensure efficient operation of logistics department. • Oversee Inventory, Risk and Compliance elements of the business, including but not exhaustive to; import documentation process flow, inventory rotation and FIFO, aging, US/Canada Customs compliance, CTPAT compliance. • Manage a small team of logistics specialists, documentation specialists, and invoicing clerks. • Liaise between logistics and sales trading team to identify areas of process and systems improvement and conflict resolution. • Work with other JBS business units to identify opportunities for collaboration with warehouses, steamship lines, brokers etc. to improve logistical service. • Manage relationships with steamship lines to maintain efficiency in vessel tracking, BOL/documents. • Represent JBS Imports within industry associations pertaining to shipping and import logistics issues.
Experience and Qualifications
• 10+ years’ experience in supply chain and logistics • Knowledge of agricultural supply systems, and perishable commodities • Excellent management skills, ability to work within a small team with a high degree of autonomy • Excellent communication both verbal and written • Negotiation and advocacy skills • College degree in Business, Agriculture and or Supply Chain or suitable experience • Knowledge of SAP preferable
