We are looking for an Process Improvement Manager for JBS that will report to the Corporate Office in Greeley, Colorado.
The Fed Beef team at JBS is seeking an Innovation Manager/Data Science Manager who is passionate about unlocking the value of our data to provide data insights that inform and influence our product and business decisions. By managing a data science team and analyzing large internal and publicly available datasets, you will empower our business through the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence, enhance decision making and allow for insight driven collaboration.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, you will partner with the Fed Beef Business Leaders strategically by:
Identifying opportunities and developing/communicating clear business cases for the digital transformation
Leveraging the latest machine and deep learning techniques to challenge our current practices in procurement, sales, marketing, operations, claims, expense, etc.
Guiding and maintaining a Data Innovation roadmap for the Fed Beef
Designing, Developing and Implementing analytics led performance management models spanning multi-functions to inform strategic and operational planning and decision making
Coaching and leading teams of diverse backgrounds, skill sets and technical/functional knowledge
Successful Candidate:
Take the initiative, easily understand the business dynamics, see the big picture, assess current practices and identify new areas where inefficiencies affect the bottom line of the company
Translate the business by identifying the use case, initiative, analytics intervention, data scientist management, data science interpretation, storytelling, etc.
Understand the uses of business and market information to better drive decisions
Relate with multiple teams to understand the problems of the business
Lead a team and managing its resources effectively
Passion for learning, improving process and attentions to the form of how the information it is presented
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Agribusiness, Animal Sciences, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Statistics, Business Analytics, Economics, etc. or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in management and leadership positions in the animal protein industry
Working knowledge in of enterprise data tools and technologies
Strong ability to use logic and excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and be flexible
Ability to thrive in a fast paced, highly dynamic environment
Ability to manage relationships both with external vendors and JBS business teams
Passion for innovation and “can do” attitude
PREFERRED:
Project management skills (i.e. PMP, CSM, CSPO) and process improvement capabilities (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.)
The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
Base salary range of $85,000 - $110,000; and
This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
