JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Sales Assistant

Department: Regional Sales

Location : Greeley, CO

Reports to : VP Dedicated & Regional Operations

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Set up new customers/brokers

  • Run credit report from collections to ensure customer score is excellent on payments

  • Collect all information on new customers for billing to set up, including contact name/email address for invoicing and OS&D. Once all information is received, set up a bill to code

  • Create and manage customer folders for each customer information in the v drive

  • Send requests on new insurance certificates for new customers. Once the certificate expires on existing customers, update them with the new.

  • Set up and manage all rate tables

  • Assist in customer request- send POD’s

  • Find new customer/brokers on certain lanes.

  • Update and publish the weekly scorecard for Beef Dedicated

  • Run weekly load reportsfor OTR, Canada, Pork & Beef Dedicated fleets

  • Detention OTR

  • Hard code mileage when needed

  • Cover Brokerage department when manager is on vacation

  • Send billing the Trailer Storage in Souderton

  • Find new trailer yard spaces and prices

  • Assist Sales and Operations departments as required

  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • One to three years’ transportation experience preferred.

  • Proficient computer skills required.

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.

  • Ability to work as a team player, and independently.

  • Strong ability for planning and organizing.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
