JBS is looking for a Tax Accountant to join our Corporate team.
As a Tax Accountant you will be responsible for assisting the tax department with U.S. federal and state income tax compliance and income tax provision. You will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of JBS income tax. This includes international, SALT, and acquisition-related tax issues. Prepare or review federal and state income tax returns
Support the team with quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations
Respond to various income tax audits and notices
Communicate with company management and across departments for M&A and special projects
Other duties assigned
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Business
0-2+ years of tax experience
Public accounting experience a plus
SAP experience a plus
OneSource Income Tax experience a plus
Strong analytical, problem solving, and accounting skills
Detail oriented and deadline driven
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well independently as a member of a team
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office products
Must be able to communicate with all levels or employees
Ability to work towards internal and external deadlines. This includes overtime as well as working on Saturdays (and Sunday, when necessary)
As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.
The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule
Base salary range of $45,000-$65,000; and
This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program
