CHILLER OPERATOR

POSITION SUMMARY :
The Chiller Operator is responsible for set-up, operation and maintaining chiller operations to keep the flow of product consistent between 1 st and 2 nd processing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned
Assist with start-up or end of production tasks for chilling system (per schedule)
Monitor chillers for water temperature, volume, PH, and PPM levels per SOP
Makes adjustment, keeping maintenance and production personnel informed of any concerns
Monitors water flow and assist in water management related to chillers
Basic understanding of anti-microbial agents and pathogen control
Basic knowledge of Infinity, ability to read and understand the information presented and respond to alarms in the correct manner.
Calibrates monitoring equipment
Ability to work different line positions as needed
Helps with training of backups as needed
Maintains reports for shift manager
Conducts additional testing in other areas

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English
Demonstrated ability to perform basic math skills including: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and percentage calculations
Ability to pass a Prove It test
A ility to pass a POET test
A bility to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to work in a cold and wet environment and other departments as needed
A bility to work with minimal supervision while keeping leadership updated on issues
Flexibility to perform various tasks
A bility to communicate and work well with others
