JBS USA MAINTENANCE HOURLY in Memphis, Tennessee

Responsible for the prompt repair and ongoing maintenance of facility and equipment. Assist with duties including, but not limited to servicing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily based on mechanical (non-electrical) principles.

  1. Performs highly diversified duties to maintain production machines and other plan equipment.

  2. Resolves all maintenance and mechanical problems promptly with minimal disruption to the production schedules.

  3. Follows all lock-out, tag-out procedures.

  4. Performs conveyor belt repair, minor equipment repair, and replaces parts in need of replacing

  5. Completes maintenance recordkeeping.

  6. Keeps record of all work performed.

  7. Updates maintenance history logs and completes required paperwork.

  8. Accounts for equipment used for maintenance and repairs.

  9. Understand and follows the company GMP policy.

  10. Understands and follows the company safety rules

  11. Cleans and maintains work area.

  12. May be required to work long hours and weekends.

  13. May assume other duties as assigned

Very active position, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. Acute closed vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work for long hours in a no-kill food processing environment, where it is wet, damp, and cold. Temperatures are frequently below freezing, and employees are expected to remain in these conditions for most of their workdays.
