Position: Transportation Operations Manager

Location: Oakwood, GA

Reports to: Director of Operations

JBS Carriers is seeking results-oriented candidates for its Georgia-based Transportation Operations Manager position. This dynamic role will manage, lead, and grow a division of over 160 trucks, operating in nine different states. JBS Carriers maintains a fleet of over 750 trucks in North America, and is the trucking division of JBS USA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of day-to-day operations, including refrigerated, hopper bottom, feed delivery and live animals, alongside Terminal Managers.

  • Manage and maintain Key Performance Indicators for all terminals and its employees.

  • Direct and oversee consistent application of all DOT regulations and FMCSA programs.

  • Coach and team development.

  • Ensure procedures, processes, and systems are in place to securely maintain accuracy of all financials, safety and operations information.

  • Assure customer service levels are achieved, holding periodic performance meetings with customers.

  • Be constantly attentive to growth opportunities.

  • Maximize the profitability of the business, ensuring desired performance achievement.

  • Report financial results and manage P&L to budget.

  • Other duties may be assigned.


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in transportation and logistics.

  • Proven success managing and motivating teams.

  • Proven leadership and strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Able to mediate conflicts, coach and develop employees, has strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software.

  • Willing and able to regularly travel.
