JBS USA ASSISTANT SALES MANAGER in Russellville, Alabama
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are seeking an Assistant Sales Manager to act as an extension of the sales manager by engaging plant management in daily and long-term direction. This position will sit at our Russellville, AL facility.
Set up weekly production run schedule for production scheduler and provide weekly forecast of sales to determine spot loads.
Work closely with sales manager on new and existing customers.
Coordinate internal product transfers.
Act as liaison between sales manager and plant.
Send out samples upon customer request.
Handle customer issues/complaints including shortages/overages and transportation issues as well as credit and billing issues.
Write up customer complaints and distribute to appropriate personnel.
Assist freight planner with logistical scheduling.
Work with customer service representative to retrieve and process orders.
Lead twice daily production meetings with production scheduler, plant leadership, freight planner and shipping.
Cross-train with production scheduler and customer service representative.
Exhibit the highest possible level of customer service to all customers, visitors and prospects.
Other duties as assigned
Poultry sales experience preferred
Experience with MS Office Suite
Good oral and written communication skills
As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations.
