ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
A maintenance specialist is responsible for maintaining the company's technology equipment and machinery, as well as computer and network systems, and other related instruments to support the business operational functions, ensuring the highest client service and satisfaction. Maintenance specialists conduct preventive and repair maintenance, inspect defective lines and components, and perform troubleshooting to maintain optimal performance and service delivery. A maintenance specialist must have excellent knowledge of the technology industry, especially when assisting the end-users with their concerns and inquiries.
Install complete electronic, electrical, hydraulic, and robotic systems to ensure high efficiency, safety and performance of associated systems.
Monitor proper performance of systems.
Detail documentation of work history on equipment for optimal preventative maintenance using company work order and PM system.
Perform all aspects of facility and production maintenance, including maintaining current equipment and implementing new equipment.
Diagnose problems with sensors, switches, PLCs, and HMI settings.
Sourcing or fabricating replacement parts for electronic systems.
Ensuring all power and manual tools are operated in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Liaising with Supervisors and clients to discuss work schedules and time and material cost estimates.
Providing training and guidance for new technicians and apprentices.
Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing equipment.
Performing equipment demonstrations and drawing up training manuals wherever required.
Interpreting drawings, training manuals, and instructions in order to perform duties.
Following written, verbal, and telephonic instructions.
Attending regular training workshops and reporting to the supervisor.
Research and develop better controls and electrical processes
Track and monitor reoccurring problems and provide solutions to correct these problems
Identify weakness in the equipment related to electrical systems and develop solutions
Assist maintenance personnel in maintaining an efficient production operation and all other duties as assigned by supervisor
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE Expectations:
Industrial electronic, electrical, hydraulics and robotics experience, extensive schematic reading capability, PLC coding/troubleshooting.
Any and all other electronic, electrical, hydraulic and robotic certifications to include technical college and/or manufacturing certifications. ie. Allen Bradley, Square D, Kawasaki, etc.
Preferable 3-5 years documented experience.
BASIC SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
The selection process is based on a panel interview, a series of standardized and/or hands on testing issued by the company/third party testing facility. This is a progressionary position; level 3 must be achieved by 18 months from start date.
