Job Title: Client Technologies Technician

Reporting To: Director of Nutritional Services

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director in maintaining the Feed Allocation System (FAS) that manages the feeding plans for over 3.8 Million market pigs annually (50%)

  • Responsible for maintaining data and user security information within the feed and production management software system

  • Interact with employee farms, contract producers, field and office staff to help resolve issues, place/modify feed orders, and generate feed production reports

  • Investigate issues and seek out resolutions to problems when they are found

  • Coordinate and oversee projects related to the Feed Allocation System improvements and updates

  • Collect, organize, and analyze data to improve the application of feeding plans

  • Coordinate outreach meetings to deliver and present updated processes and methods

  • Stay current with updates and newly released features of the feed and production management software

  • Embrace company culture, values, and mission

Required Qualifications:

  • Extremely proficient in IT systems, specifically in agriculture.

  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to be available during non-typical business hours to assist IT users.

  • Works well in a team setting, but also able to work alone.

  • Ability to travel if need to assist users.

  • Strong ability to network with outside experts in ag technology systems.

  • Have a strong desire and passion for developing solutions within a pork production system

  • Must be self-driven, and self-motivated, and comfortable with limited daily direction

Preferred Qualifications

  • A.S. or B.S. in either Information Technology, Agricultural Sciences, Animal Sciences, Mathematics or other related fields.

  • Prior experience with production software in a livestock operation.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits :

  • Benefits : Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;

  • Paid Time Off : sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;

  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;

  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;

Travel: 5%, typically 2-3 times per year
