JBS USA QA LABORATORY SUPERVISOR in Souderton, Pennsylvania

Position: Quality Assurance Supervisor

Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager

Hours: Full time Monday through Friday, additional hours as needed, occasional Saturdays

Duties & r esponsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Proactive attitude toward workplace safety at all times

  • Ability to perform data entry, experience with Microsoft Office i.e.: Word, Excel

  • Basic understanding of safe handling, storage, and respect for chemicals

  • Proper defensible sampling methods for validation as necessary

  • Understanding preservation chain of ownership

  • Knowledge of gas chromatography

  • Maintain a clean work environment

  • Ability to multitask with attention to organization

  • Tracking of chemical usage and proper waste disposal

  • Willingness to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with team members

  • Preparation of certificates of analysis

  • Managing chemical inventories, reporting inventories and re-ordering chemicals and supplies while maintaining budgetary needs

  • Participation in Management Safety Program

  • Reporting product that is not in specification to Quality Assurance Manager

  • Occasional overtime and weekend work as needed

Position r equirements:

  • Work experience: The incumbent ideally should have 2 or more years’ experience working in a laboratory setting

  • Educational requirements: BS in Chemistry, Biology or related science, relevant experience will be considered

  • Quality work—strong ability to maintain quality work,precision and accuracy

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to reach common goals, self-motivated, adaptability and a positive attitude

The Ideal Candidate would possess:

  • Hands-on experience with analytical techniques

  • Ability to monitor and comply with SOPs and CGMPs

  • Ability to learn new techniques and perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions and comply with company policies

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) with attention to detail

  • Flexible and adaptable, working collaboratively in cross-functional teams
