With approximately 2,900 employees, JBS Food Canada ULC (-JBS Canada-) is one of the largest employers in southern Alberta and one of Canada's largest beef processors. Consisting of three locations-the Head Office and a Case Ready plant, both based in Calgary, Alberta, as well as a processing facility in Brooks, Alberta, where approximately 4,200 head of cattle are harvested and processed daily. The JBS Canada Brooks facility has the capacity to produce products ranging from boxed beef primals, ground beef, beef trimmings, beef by-products and hides which are shipped across Canada and worldwide. At the multi-protein Mountain Creek Farms case-ready facility in Calgary, JBS Canada produces value-added products including marinated, portion sized, multi-pack options, kebabs and much more.
JBS Food Canada is seeking an experienced, ambitious and creative Business Analyst to join the Continuous Improvement team.This role will have the ability to actively influence the strategy and activity at JBS Food Canada to create meaningful change and promote a culture of continuous improvement and business agility across plant production.
NOTE:- This role is located in Brooks, Alberta.
Work in partnership with Senior Leadership to define prioritized process improvement initiatives complete with actions plans, resource models, project milestones and success metrics.
Champion Lean Principles and practices across the organization fostering a deeper understanding and adoption of these core principles.
Work with Organizational Managers and key stakeholders to design and develop best practices and processes that utilize resources across various value streams.
Anticipate and plan for process integration initiatives that support the underlying business objectives. Support process change by integrating new processes with existing ones and assist to deploy these new improvements to the operations teams.
Analyze industry and business unit data to achieve efficiency metrics.
Support the development of policies, systems and procedures necessary to support cost reduction and system utilization goals (KPI-s).
Help to ensure reliability systems are developed to be as robust as safety, quality and environment systems
Create charts, graphs and presentations to communicate business process, waste and improvements for a process
Assists with developing and providing timely reports to all stakeholders
Develops comparative data from other JBS Business Units to target performance improvement opportunities in Canada
Working knowledge of 5S, Continuous Flow Production and writing process control documentation
A-bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science or related field is required
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, considered an asset
Exceptional written and verbal skills
Ability to understand and perform qualitative data analysis
Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills
Able to work with a high sense of urgency and have the ability to prioritize and accurately respond to deadlines
Strong background in problem solving, planning and organization.
Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office applications including Power point and Excel (know how to use the functionality macros)
Ability to develop and implement Applications in Qlikview and Business Object (SAP) considered an asset
Knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies required at a level to successfully continue to advance the culture of continuous improvement
A valid driver-s license, required
Valid status to work in Canada, required
